GEORGIA KRAPF
Mood Couch
Richmond, VA
In 2008 I took a fashion class in which we got to design our own fabric, print + treat, and propose a project. I chose to create a couch; 1 sheet of plywood as base, cushions half with printed fabric and half with krypton durable fabric. Once the fabric was printed, I treated it in an 8-hour steam tower in the classroom. The cushions are sewn with minimal white clothes piping + hidden zippers; thus there is no back to any cushion. Flip at will.
